Deniz Dionysos Hellberg is an acclaimed artistic director and award-winning Swedish playwright. His work has been staged across Scandinavia and the Middle East over the past 15 years, earning praise for its lyrical intensity and cultural insight. In 2017, he was awarded the Gothenburg Municipality Writer’s Prize for his contributions to drama and poetry. Beyond the stage, Deniz Dionysos Hellberg is a researcher in Eurasian studies and formerly taught Creative Writing at the University of Gothenburg. He currently resides in Istanbul.
